The 27th annual Festival du Bois is taking place next month over three days, presented by the Societe francophone de Maillardville and CanadaHelps.org.
Everyone is encouraged to wear plaid clothing as they attend the variety of events during the festival. The event will start off with a concert at Place Des Arts, at which Raine Hamilton and Annette Campagne will be performing.
For the next two days, the festival will move to Mackin Park. There will be musical performances throughout the festival by artists such as Vazzy, Danny Boudreau, and Yoro Naukoussi. The exhibit ‘Illuminmo’ by Sylvie Roussel-Janssens will be showing at the Atrium Gallery at Place Des Arts. The Youth Zone is set to feature storytelling, dance, music and face painting. Some of the acts appearing are Sandy Northrup's One Woman Circus, Les Bretons de Quebec and Jean Pierre Makosso.
Other activities include street hockey, geocaching, workshops and a Sunday pancake breakfast, for which tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children.
To help advertise Coquitlam events such as this, organizers often invest in flyer printing services.
The Festival du Bois is taking place from March 4 to 6. Tickets per day are $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and $7 for children between the ages of 5 and 12. A two-day family pass is $65 and a two-day adult pass is $25. Call 604-515-7070 to learn more.
