The Paws for a Cause walk will be taking place next month in Coquitlam. It is a fundraising event for the BC SPCA.
Twenty British Columbia communities are participating in this event. The walk is 1.5K in length which is twice around LaFarge Lake. Fees are $15 in advance for adults or $20 on the day of the race and $5 for youth or $10 on the day of the walk. T-Shirts are available for purchase. Participants can also solely raise funds by gathering pledges from friends and family.
In addition to the walk, there will be lots of fun activities taking place. There is set to be a doggy look-a-like contest, a doggy lick bowl contest and a musical sit competition. There will be a kids’ corner that will provide activities like face painting, a bake sale and a food tent. Guests can pose for pictures with the stormtroopers of the Outer Rim Garrison or have their picture taken with their pet. In addition, there will be 50 percent off of all SPCA merchandise.
