This year, Coquitlam residents can spring into a new season thanks to an activity day planned by the Place Maillardville Community Centre.
The facility will be throwing its doors open for a day filled with activities, and it will give the public a way to try their hand at a variety of different sports. There will be both morning and afternoon sessions, and the participants can choose the one that works best for them.
The function, which has been dubbed “Give it a Try Day”, will see attendees divided into teams that will rotate through activities such as table tennis, 8 ball, curling and darts. This way, they will be able to find out which activity they enjoy. Following this, there will be a social where they can meet other community members. The event is exclusive to those aged over 50, and it is free for all who participate.
Those who plan this type of function often consult a brochure printing company in order to spread the word throughout a community, and such a company will also be able to provide a variety of other promotional materials as well.
The community’s older adults can take part in the Give it a Try Day at Place Maillardville Community Centre on March 21st. The final date to register is March 7th.
