What's Happening in Coquitlam, BC…

Cybersecurity has become an important consideration for businesses of any size, and a Coquitlam area workshop will introduce the risks and remedies that go hand in hand with the digital age.

The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce is set to welcome registrants for an afternoon that will address cyber security risks both at home and in the workplace. While it is especially directed at women in business, and organizers have explained that it may be helpful to anyone.

During the seminar, the facilitator will introduce topics such as the cybersecurity risks that exist now and may exist in the future, the role of a board of directors in addressing the issue, the software and other technology that may be helpful and how an organization can prevent a breach from happening in the first place. It will be presented by Adriana Gliga-Belavic, who is MNP’s National Privacy Leader and Cyber Partner.

While this sort of activity may supply an introduction to a particular topic, the participants may walk away wanting to learn even more. A brochure printing company will be able to help by supplying informational publications to give to each attendee before they head for home.
