The “Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch” play tells the story of the solitary Mr. Hatch, who receives a Valentine’s Day note from a secret admirer. The story follows Mr. Hatch as he searches for his admirer with the help of a few friends. In addition to puppetry, the show will feature elements of traditions such as clowning, mines, mask work, and improvisation to create a memorable event that aims to be engaging to kids from 5 to 10 and teach a lesson on the impact of kindness. Axis Theatre presents their performing philosophers as one of empowerment:

The creative team behind “Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch” includes director Chris McGregor and puppet designer Frank Rader, with the story based on a book by Eileen Spinelli and Paul Yalowitz. The Axis Theatre production of “Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch” will be staged at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam on February 11.
