An event on offer for Coquitlam kids this summer will see youngsters explore the seven seas without ever having to leave home.
An afternoon of creativity will give kids from ages five to seven a chance to flex their creative muscles, and the ocean will be the theme for the occasion. While the young artists experiment with a variety of media, they can create their own sea creatures and take them home at the end of the session.
The facilitators will help the attendees use the water colour and acrylic paint that will be provided, and there will also be drawing materials available as well. They will make their very own “explorer boat”, and the plan is for the session to be so much fun that the budding Picassos may not even realize they are learning both artistic techniques and facts about fish and other residents of the watery world.

Coquitlam’s Place des Arts will be welcoming young seafarers for this deep dive into the seas and oceans from July 13 to July 17. It is scheduled to run from 1:45 pm until 2:35 pm.
