Coquitlam beer lovers wanting to enjoy an evening sampling craft beers, ales and other beverages crafted in the local area may find that an upcoming fundraiser of interest.
A celebration of the area’s growing craft brewing industry is being hosted by the Rotary Club of Coquitlam. The community service organization will use the funds raised to support its various projects that benefit people living in the local area as well as around the world, and 2019 will mark the event’s inaugural year.
The organizers of the function have put together a selection of 25 breweries, and they will all be offering samples of their creations. Food will also be available, and as alcohol will be served to guests, the function is reserved for those who are 19 years of age and up.
The Rotary Club of Coquitlam noted that it wanted to recognize the support of the Canadian Tire branch located at Lougheed Highway and King Edward Street, as it has chosen to serve as the event’s title sponsor.
