Coquitlam families to enjoy virtual Mothers Day fun

This Mother’s Day, Coquitlam families will be able to enjoy special time with mom without having to leave home.

The staff at the Place Maillardville Community Centre, along with its volunteers and special guests, have arranged a program of virtual activities and other fun, and it will be a salute to moms and the work they do every day. The event is geared towards families with kids that are aged 12 and under. The registration fee for children who are over 12 months old is $8.00, while babies aged 12 months and under can participate free of charge.

The two-hour long program includes puppet shows and other entertainment, as well as crafting and stories, and pre-packed kits will be available for pickup ahead of the day. These can be collected at the centre, while the event itself will be hosted using the Zoom platform.

Due to COVID restrictions, many libraries and other community service facilities have switched their programming to an online form. Promotional Products can be useful when switching to an online format, with reusable cloth Shopping Bags, for example, often being used to hold supply kits and other items to give to those who register for a virtual function.

The final date to sign up for the Virtual Mother’s Day Event is May 1st, and it will be held on May 8th. It will begin at 10:00 am.
