Coquitlam event to shine light on gold rush

A special celebration of Coquitlam’s past will offer a fun way to start off fall, and it will be a colourful event for the whole family.

The Heart of Gold Exhibit Celebration will hark back to the area’s gold rush days, and it marks the opening of this Coquitlam Heritage at Mackin House exhibit. It will be a high-energy affair, and two different performances have been scheduled.

The attendees will be able to enjoy a performance by the high-kicking Golden Spike CanCan Dancers, who will be dressed in brightly coloured costumes. Fraser Mills Train Station will be open for tours, and as each of these will be limited to just one family at a time, the participants can count on enjoying a more personalized experience. Masks are recommended, and advanced registration is not required to attend this free occasion.

A poster printing company can help to create an exciting atmosphere for an event like this. It will be able to craft period-style Posters and other items that fit in well with the historical theme of the day.

The Heart of Gold Exhibit Celebration will welcome all ages on September 25th. It will start at 1:00 pm, with performances scheduled for 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm in the space in front of the caboose parked at Heritage Square.
