Coquitlam adults invited to experience joys of birding

Birding is a hobby that many people enjoy, and Coquitlam adults who would like to get started but are not sure how will want to be among attendees for an upcoming workshop.

The Coquitlam Public Library has prepared a learning session that will explore the world of birding, and it will be focused on the local area. It is suitable for beginners and experienced hobbyists alike, and it will be held at Colony Farm Regional Park.

This outing will introduce attendees to the birds that can be found in the park, and the function will be led by Metro Vancouver Park Interpretation Specialists. While binoculars are not necessary, they may be helpful, and the library will have some pairs available for the use of registrants. The group will meet at the Colony Farm Parking Lot, and questions about the function can be directed to Rosanne at the library.

Hosting an introductory workshop like this may inspire members of the public to pick up a new hobby. Equipping them with basic field guides of commonly seen bird species will make it easier for them to identify what they see, and these can be prepared by a local printing services company.

The Birding for Beginners workshop will take place on June 12th. Everyone who Signs up is asked to be at the gathering point by 9:00 am.
