Chamber kicks off a new year with a gala dinner

The 2016 Gala of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce is taking place at the end of this month in Coquitlam.

The event will

more than likely introduce the new board for 2016 and will also be presenting the Business Excellence Awards for 2015.

The evening will start off with a champagne reception and attendees will have the opportunity to network with their fellow business peers. It will be followed by a buffet dinner, prizes, games and dancing. Later on, the Business Excellence Awards will be presented in six separate categories including Community Spirit, Business Leader, Small Business, Business (50+) and Not-for-profit of the Year. Each category has several finalists who were nominated by their peers.

Events like this are important networking events for Coquitlam businesses and most of those attending will no doubt be bringing their digital Business Cards with them. There will be several opportunities during the evening to exchange cards and to briefly discuss business.

The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Gala will be held at the Hard Rock Casino in the Vancouver Theatre on January 30 beginning at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $125 for Chamber members, $150 for non-members and $1,150 for a table of 10; they must be purchased in advance.
