The Chilliwack Community Arts Council and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) Circuit are presenting six top quality films in the city this spring.
The TIFF Circuit is a film outreach program that travels to over 160 communities throughout Canada. It brings some of the best films to town as well as the filmmakers themselves, who take part in question and answer sessions after the showing of their features. It is a good opportunity for people in smaller communities to experience acclaimed films that might not have made it to the local movie theater.
This year, the six films that will be shown in Chilliwack, including one that was nominated for an Oscar this year, are Philomena, The Lunch Box, The Invisible Woman, Cas and Dylan, Like Father Like Son, and Le Weekend. The films come from the U.S., the UK, India, Japan, and Canada.
The TIFF Circuit provides most of the background planning for the showings, including booking guests and arranging for Print advertising. The Chilliwack Community Arts Council might also work with local Print companies to make a schedule available to anyone who is interested.
The Chilliwack International Film Series will be showing at the Cottonwood 4 Cinemas each Wednesday from April 2nd until May 7th, beginning at 7:00pm each night. Tickets are $6 each or $30 for a pass. To find out more about the series, call 604-769-2787.Get a Free Quote for Print
