What's Happening in Chilliwack, BC…

New gas bar opens in Chilliwack

When it comes to purchasing gas, diesel, and bulk petroleum, residents of Chilliwack will now have a new option.

The general manager of Otter Co-Op recently hosted the grand opening of the firm’s latest location on Progress Way. It contains a gas bar, a convenience store, a 7,200 square foot building, and also a card lock system, in addition to a large facility for storing bulk petroleum. According to the Co-Op, this will provide its members with a new place to meet their petroleum needs, as well as an expanded range of products and services.

The firm feels that this will bring an additional $70 million a year into the Otter Co-Op fuel division, which will be distributed back to the members through equity and cash. It will also help to ensure that the company has a healthy bottom line for the long term.

The construction of the gas bar first began back in February. Besides providing a space for customers to fuel up their vehicles, the facility will also be able to handle bulk petroleum purchases. These are becoming more and more common for Otter Co-Op’s other branches throughout the lower mainland of the province.

A grand opening like this can help to draw in the crowds and attract potential customers. A flyer printing firm can help by producing flyers to be bulk mailed throughout the community. These can include a coupon for discounted gas or some other premium, which will also help encourage them to stop by and perhaps become members.
