The Windsmile Designs Spring Market is almost here. Proceeds from the market will help make it possible for the Elders of Skwah First Nation to attend the annual British Columbia Elders Gathering in Saint George.
The market will feature 20 native vendors, including Tupperware, Sentsy, Mary Kay and It Works. Shoppers will also be able to buy from artists and crafters who will be selling such items as jewelry, fabric art and drawings. Food will also be available for sale and there will be a 50/50 draw and door prizes. It will be a good opportunity for the community to discover some local artists as well as give native businesses some much needed exposure.
It is likely that many of the vendors will be collaborating with local printing companies to prepare for the market. Some of the artists and crafters might want to design and Print a postcard to hand out to interested visitors. Many artists use Postcards as a large format business card; they picture an example of their work on the front and add their contact information to the back. People who pick up the Postcards might send them to a friend or put them on their fridge; making it more likely that more people will discover the artist.
The Spring Market will take place at Windsmile Designs on March 23 from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Admission is free with a canned food donation; extra door prize tickets can be purchased for $1 each.
