A plant sale gives thrifty gardeners an easy and economical way to add to their collection, and one of these events is soon set to welcome Chilliwack green thumbs.
Watson Glen Park, which is located at 44975 Keith Wilson Road, will be the venue for the 2021 Chilliwack Garden Club’s Plant Sale. It will be a pop-up style activity, with offerings available for almost every budget and skill level.
Herbs, vegetables and annual starts grown by the club’s members will all be included in the function, and if space permits, there may even be some perennials to choose from as well. The organizers will be following the latest COVID prevention protocols, and they will be able to answer questions from the public about how to make sure they get their new plants off to a good start.
This sale is being held as part of the larger Vedder Farm and Artisan Market, and this type of activity offers garden clubs and other not-for-profit organizations a way to fundraise while meeting with the public. A brochure printing company can be called upon to prepare care pamphlets and other learning materials to hand out to the crowd.
The Chilliwack Garden Club’s Plant Sale will be taking place on May 15th. It will be up and running from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
