Chilliwack to host community carnival

A community carnival will help to open the summer season for Chilliwack, and it will be an event that welcomes one and all.

The Sardis Sports Complex is set to play host to the very first Scouts Carnival, and its organizers hope it will become an annual celebration. It will help to fund an assortment of activities for area kids through Scouts programs and the No One Left Behind initiative.

The function will bring together a mix of vendors, as well as food trucks, and games will be set up for the enjoyment of the crowd. Scouters will lead outdoor adventure activities, and the festivities will run for eight hours. A Touch a Truck area with utility, first responder and other vehicles is on the agenda, and the Vedder Farmers Market and a silent auction will round out the festivities.

The organizers of the function have explained that, to make it as exciting as possible for all the attendees, they are still accepting applications from both vendors and food truck operators. Companies that take part in community events like this can count on area printing services suppliers to provide them with any customized marketing materials they may need.

This warm welcome to the arrival of the summer season will begin at 10:00 am on June 25th. The whole community is encouraged to come out and help make the festivities a success.
