While there are new and better treatments for diseases being developed all the time, preventing them in the first place can save a lot of pain and heartache, and during Chilliwack Moves, the public will be able to learn how to put this theory into practice in their everyday lives.
The event, which has been planned as a fun run, walk or roll along the community’s Rotary Trail, will follow along a scenic path. People can choose between the 1.5km, 5km or 8km route, and a number of stations will set up where the participants can stop and learn more about preventative healthcare form experts in the field. They will also be giving away free products.
The kids are invited to come out and join in the fun too. The route for their run or walk is 1.5 kilometers long, and it winds through a wooded area. This portion of the day is being offered free of charge, and an area printer can supply specially designed kid-sized race bibs, T-Shirts and other Promotional Products for an event like this.
October 1 has been selected as the date for this community event, and those who sign up before September 10 will receive a free T-shirt. 300 spots have been made available for the public, and anyone who would like to sign up to participate or who simply wants more information can find it on the Hello BC website.
