When someone is lost or injured and far from help, Chilliwack Search and Rescue can come to their aid. The community has been asked to stand behind this organization and support its work by attending a fundraiser that will be held in Dukes Country Pub next month.
The function will include dinner as well as a chance to win a prize from the selection of items that will be up for grabs. An even split is on the agenda, and everyone who spends time hiking, camping, paddling or just enjoying the outdoors is asked to attend to help make sure that search and rescue services will be there for them should they ever need it.
An activity like this can give area businesses an opportunity to get involved in their community. The organizers are hoping that local companies will be generous and make a either a monetary donation or a contribution of gifts such as hiking gear or other branded Corporate Gifts, as these can be offered as prizes during the raffle draw.
The agenda will see doors open at 5pm. This will give guests time to meet and mingle before dinner is served at 5:30pm. The draws will take place after this.
