Chilliwack market to mark milestone
The Chilliwack Christmas Craft Market will be celebrating a half-century of holidays this November when it holds its 50th annual event.
The Market brings together over 240 artists and artisans from over British Columbia and beyond, offering unique items that can be used as holiday gifts, decorations, or just personal treats. Markets like this often see vendors using colourful displays and banner printing, or themed products to help attract attention.
There will be returning vendors from past years as well as new gifts, offering items such as pottery, paintings, woodwork, jewellery and body care items. The market will also offer food and drink including a sampling from some of British Columbia’s craft breweries. Vendors will be selected through an online application process based on craftsmanship and originality, and all exhibitors must have personally created their product.
The annual gathering is also the largest annual fundraising event of the Chilliwack Art Council. The organization will be raising money through ticket sales and other methods to put on community arts events, classes, and initiatives, as well as to fund three annual scholarships that help Chilliwack youngsters pursue their dreams. Arts Council volunteers will also help to stage the Market.
The 2025 Chilliwack Christmas Craft Market will take place from November 14 to 16 at Chilliwack Heritage Park. Admission will be free for children 12 or under, with parking available by donation.
