Reading is a hobby that can be enjoyed any time of year, and an initiative from the Chilliwack library will see kids enhancing their reading and listening skills in the great outdoors
The library and the city itself have come together to host Storytime in the Park, which will in include a story, discussion and lots more. Each session will include a special hands on activity such as face painting, yoga and more. There will also be time for the kids who take part to socialize with one another and get to know each other better maybe even make a new friend.
Summertime in Salish sessions will be held of out doors in Salish Park, which is located next to the library, but if the weather is bad, it can be moved indoors where it is dry. This once a week series will begin on July 12th and run until August 30, and each week will see a new story and activity for the children who participate. Signs and other printed materials can be used during an event such as this to let people know where it is taking place.
