The city of Chilliwack will be proudly hosting a rock and gem show, presented by the British Columbia Lapidary Society, a collection of 31 gem and rock clubs throughout the province of British Columbia, this year.
The BC Gem Show is a special and unique event that comes around only once a year. Print shops can help spread the word of an event like this to the local and broader community.
Attendees will have the opportunity to visit booths and vendors selling a variety of gem and rock-related items. Eventgoers will also have the chance to spin a prize wheel and are guaranteed to win a prize. Also, there will be demonstrations of cabochon making, stone carving, bead making, flint knapping, wire wrapping and much more.
This is a family friendly event with an activity station set up for children of all ages, where they will be able to use craft supplies, rocks and their creativity to create their very own critter. Event goers will also have a chance to purchase Bags filled with rocks for $3 each.
The BC Gem Show will run from May 13 through to May 15 at the Chilliwack Heritage Park. Admission to this event is $6 per adult and $2 for students aged six to 17, with children under six entering for free. There is also an option to buy a three-day pass at the cost of $12.
