Annual fair will showcase agriculture and livestock

The 142nd Chilliwack Fall Fair is taking place in the city over three days this August. It is an annual presentation of the Chilliwack Agricultural Society.

The event is just like an old-fashioned agricultural fair, showcasing varieties of produce and livestock. There will be plenty of open competitions taking place, including those in household arts, vegetables, needlework, and weaving. Other activities are set to include antique tractor pulls, a logger sports show, an Atchelitz Threshermen’s Association Site, lawnmower racing, the BC Dairy Foundation Mobile Classroom, and a rodeo.

In addition, the group Trooper will be performing on the first night of the fair. The home and garden building will be hosting a kitchen and baking stage, and a vendor marketplace.

There will no doubt be plenty of activities taking place that will please every member of the family.

Chilliwack Stationery printers may have been approached by organizers of the fair to provide advertising materials like Flyers and Brochures. They can be distributed for very little money, yet can reach a lot of people.

The Chilliwack Fall Fair will be held at Chilliwack Heritage Park from August 8th to 10th. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the gate, and $5 or $7 for seniors and youth; a family pass is $30. To learn more about the fair, call 604-824-8191.
