Vancouver residents prepare for charity events

Two important charity galas are set to take place in Vancouver this week, having been organized to raise funds and boost publicity for the Nature Trust of BC and the Lookout Society.

The first event, the Wild about Nature Gala, will be held to help raise awareness for the Nature Trust and is set to be hosted by Ross Beaty. Guests will be treated to a cocktail reception, jazz music from NiteCap and dinner prepared by Chef Cameron.

The next fundraiser is the 5th annual H'Arts for the Homeless Gala, with all money raised going to the Lookout Society. The evening is expected to be filled with exciting circus performances, music, dance, art installations, and plenty of food to enjoy. In addition, visual artists will also be giving live demonstrations and guests can bid on prizes at live silent auctions.

Both of the events are set to attract guests from across the region, including those in nearby Burnaby. It's likely that local Print companies were asked to provide marketing materials to help spread the word.

The Wild about Nature Gala is taking place at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on Wednesday from 6:00-10:00pm. Tickets are $225 each or $2,250 for a table of 10; gold sponsorships are $4,000 for a table of eight. To find out more about the event, call 605-924-9771.

The H'Arts for the Homeless Gala is being held at The Imperial in Vancouver on Thursday from 5:30-9:30pm. Tickets are $60 each. Call 604-255-0340 to find out more.
