The 2014 Rowing Canada Aviron Canadian Masters Championship is taking place this year at the Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavilion over two days this July.
The championship is open to those over 21 from anywhere in the world. Registration fees are $160 for a team of eight, $120 for four, $70 for doubles, and $35 for singles. Those who are interested in participating have until July 4 to register; although some late entries will be accepted until July 7. There are set to be a variety of competitions including 1X, LW2, and 4X, with para events included as well.
The event will kick off with a Saturday Night Social barbecue at the Vancouver Rowing Club. Attendance is limited to 175 only and tickets are $8 each.
The Burnaby Lake Park Association (BLPA) will be hosting an information booth during the events, promoting all that is available to the general public in the park and advising about the stewardship program.
No doubt the BLPA will be handing out printed materials to those who drop by the Burnaby event. These are often provided to such organizations by local Stationery printers at a reasonable cost.
