Floating display to once again take to the waters off Burnaby

This holiday season, Burnaby will once again be playing host to an event that lights up the winter nights.

The Carol Ships Parade of Lights, which started out more than 50 years ago with only one boat taking part, will once again set sail and navigate through the waters off Barnet Marine Park. This year, it is expected that as many as 50 vessels, all decorated with hundreds of lights, will join the flotilla. The public is invited to bundle up and enjoy the floating holiday display.

The boats will take to the water and sail by the park between 8:00 and 8:30 pm. The concession stand will also be open from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm for those who would like to have a hot drink or a snack while they take in the floating parade. A printer will be able to provide an assortment of marketing services that can help to promote an event like this throughout the local area.

This shore side celebration of the Carol Ships Parade of Lights will be held on December 16 in Barnett Marine Park. Those who plan on coming out are encouraged by the organizers to dress for the weather.

Anyone who would like to find out more about the festival, and the boats that will be taking part, can do so by visiting its website.
