The 15th annual Healthy Kids Fair is taking place in Burnaby next month.
The event is aimed at parents of children from newborn up to the age of 5.
A number of health professionals will be on hand to offer advice and resources for parents. There will be information on overall wellness, mental health, and child development. There will also a number of displays from local organizations dedicated to helping children. Guests receive a preschool passport that they have stamped at every booth they visit and will receive prizes.
It will not all be serious though and there will also be plenty of fun to be had for both parents and children. There will be parent and child dance activities, face painting, and art and music stations. Guests will also have the opportunity to watch a preschool class in action. In addition, there will be a snack room.
This event should attract a lot of new parents in Burnaby who feel lost about where to turn for help with health and school decisions. To spread the word about events like this, Flyers are often distributed in various local newspapers or displayed at public buildings in the city.
The Healthy Kids Fair will be held at Cameron Recreation Complex on March 6 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Admission is free of charge. For more information, call 604-297-4453.
