The EPIC Sustainable Living Festival is taking place in Vancouver over two days in July. Its mission is to celebrate “sustainability, culture and community”.
There will be plenty to do during the festival, such as gardening workshops from the Master Gardeners Association of BC on topics including vegetable gardening and composting.
There will also be an eco-marketplace in which vendors will be selling environmentally friendly products and providing information on various local environmental groups. Food will be available to visitors from food trucks and the Sip and Savour Garden. A kid's zone will also be available to will provide lots of fun activities for the children.
The keynote speaker of the event will be Sandra Oldfield, CEO and Winemaker at Tinhorn Creek Vineyards. Other speakers will also be sharing their expertise on environmental topics.
The festival will likely attract visitors from all over the Lower Mainland, including nearby Burnaby. Local printing companies are expected to provide some of the environmental organizations who will be showcasing their organizations at the festival with products such as Brochures, Booklets and Flyers.
The EPIC Sustainable Living Festival will take place at the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens from July 6 - 7. Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for students and seniors, and $10 for youth. Weekend passes are available for $40 for adults, $38 for seniors and students and $18 for youth.
