Burnaby workshop to teach value to assertiveness in the workplace

A workshop will demonstrate that assertiveness can be part of creating a workplace that is functional for all, rather than being a bullying trait.

This Burnaby presentation will show how assertiveness and creating strong and definitive boundaries can result in co-workers who know what is expected of them when it comes to interpersonal communications and employee relations. The organizers remarked that this can help to prevent misunderstandings, and it does not have to be a difficult proposition.

The agenda for the morning includes several learning objectives, and these include defining what assertiveness means and also how to set boundaries. They will also discover how they can stand up for their rights without stepping on those of others.

The session will be led by Jeffery Cartwright, who has many years of experience in team training with firefighters and also in general workplace environments.

Participating in a workshop can help an individual add to their personal skillset, and one like this can be useful in creating a positive working environment for themselves and their co-workers. Manuals and other handouts can be prepped for the occasion by Print shops, and these can include full colour illustrations and other graphics.

The location for this opportunity for Burnaby residents to add some assertiveness to their toolbox of personal skills will be offered at 3713 Kensington Avenue. It has been scheduled for March 11th.
