Herbal vinegars have been utilized for centuries to enhance both beauty and health, and an upcoming Burnaby event will explore them in depth.
The West End Community Centre provides space for a variety of workshops and other activities, and it has scheduled one that will introduce vinegars made using apple cider, as well as wild herbs and other ingredients. It will run for two hours, and those who are aged 50 and up can participate in the session at no charge.
The class will demonstrate how to prepare a variety of vinegars using locally foraged ingredients so they will be easy to replicate at home, and everyone can ask any questions they have. The function is on offer courtesy of the WENFN West End Urban Garden Club, and Lori Snyder will supply the instruction. Along with this, the attendees will be encouraged to visit the seed library so they can swap seeds. This can help to make gardening more thrifty for them, while also building genetic diversity.
Those who host a workshop like this often choose to order printed materials from area Print shops. They can provide everything from printed recipe cards to promotional Pens.
The Wild Herbal and Mineral Vinegars workshop will provide an in-person introduction to herbal vinegars on September 5th. It will start at 6:30 pm.
