A Burnaby venue will be springing into a new season with an event that will offer eco-friendly excitement for everyone who calls the community home.
The city’s Burnaby Blooms event will soon be coming to Deer Lake Park and the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. The function will showcase sustainability and resilience, and admission will be free.
There will be activities for the whole family to enjoy together. Attendees will be treated to roving performers and other entertainment, and workshops that cover a variety of topics have been scheduled. Community groups will be setting up information booths and tables for the day, and food trucks will also be on site. Everyone can pick up some new additions to their garden in the plant sale, and an eco-sculpture display, tours and presenter talks will round out the activity. It will be held rain or shine, and as parking at the venue is limited, using public transit is recommended.
