Drive-in movies were once a popular way to spend a summer night, and a Burnaby activity that catches the spirit of those bygone days will be on offer this August.
During August, the community will be running its Summer Cinema initiative, and its first instalment will take place in Confederation Park. The other sessions are scheduled for Civic Square, and four movies will be screened in total.
The screenings, which will all be family friendly, will be available for free, and everyone is invited to bring a folding chair or blanket. They are also welcome to pack some snacks and beverages to enjoy during the show, and they will be held rain or shine. Free parking will be available at the Bob Prittie Metrotown branch of the library, and to add even more fun to the occasion, there will be costumed characters circulating among the crowd.
Communities all over Canada have summer fun in the works, and the events can be a lot of fun. A flyer printing company can help to spread the word by preparing mailers and other marketing materials.
