The Burnaby detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have cordially invited the public to attend an open house this October and it will provide a sneak peek into its day-to-day operations.
The event, which has been planned with families in mind, will be filled with an assortment of activities to enjoy. The function will have a run time of five hours, and the location will be 5355 Deer Lake Avenue.
The guests will be able to take part in a scavenger hunt, and there will be presentations and live demos from Integrated Units as well. Food trucks have been invited to participate, and there will be lots of photo ops. The kids can check out the police car, and everyone can go for a tour. A table of recruiting resources will be on site so anyone interested in learning about joining up can do so.
Along with the rest of the fun, the kids in the crowd will be treated to cake and also a selection of prizes to take home with them. A costumed character may even be on hand for a meet and greet. Promotional Products are sometimes distributed at events like this.
