Lots of people enjoy having freshly grown greens on their table, and the Design Your Indoor Micro Farm workshop will help point them in the right direction.
This Burnaby area class will be held online, and it will introduce some of the fundamentals of small-scale indoor farming. It will be led by an expert in sustainable garden design, and a variety of growing, cultivation and propagation methods will be included in the discussion.
The group will learn about living walls and how they can be constructed, and the value of vermicompost will also be reviewed. The organizer has explained that the goal is to grow food and other plants indoors using only a small amount of space, and examples will be shared with the learners so that they will be inspired to start growing in their own home.
The fee to take part in this Zoom class is $22, and pre-registration is required. The details will be sent out to those who sign up ahead of time. Planning guides and other learning materials for an activity like this can be crafted by an area printing services company, and these can be sent out to any students who request one.
The Design Your Indoor Micro Farm workshop will start at 10:00am on February 6th. It will be facilitated by Doctor Yael Stav, and it will not be recorded.
