Fraser Health Authority and the BC government recently made the joint announcement that funds have been made available for upgrades to Burnaby Hospital.
Up to $622m has been allocated for the project, which is slated to be completed over a timeframe of 10 years. It includes improvements to the emergency department, replacement of some of its beds, and enhancements to its diagnostic and surgical services. Its ability to provide acute mental healthcare will be upgraded by adding more beds, and the number of those dedicated to neuroscience will also be increased. Additional parking will also be added to the site, both in the form of parkades and parking stalls.
Part of the plan includes assessing the services that are currently available in the local area and determining the best way to integrate the upgrades to Burnaby hospital with the redevelopments that are planned for those healthcare facilities, namely Royal Columbian Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital. The public can be kept abreast of the latest developments during expansion projects such as this through the use of Brochures and other printed items, such as Posters, Banners, and billboards.
Burnaby is currently experiencing a period of rapid growth, and according to the Fraser Health Authority, the expectation is that it will increase by up to 18% by the year 2024. The hope is that the upgrades made to the hospital will allow it to meet the needs of the community. Get a Free Quote for Brochures Get a Free Quote for Banners Get a Free Quote for Posters
