Burnaby first responders organize open house

Burnaby first responders work hard all year round to keep their home community safe, and one of its newest infrastructure additions will soon be opening its doors to the public.

Fire Station Number 8, which is located at 9900 University Drive East, is set to host its Grand Opening. It is set to offer two hours of fun, and everyone who drops by can learn more about this state of the art facility.

The personnel on hand for the event will provide tours and displays of firefighting equipment, and they will also showcase the building’s features that make it more sustainable. The opening ceremony itself is set for 11:30 am, and there will be firefighters to meet as well as free games and face painting. The Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society will be serving a BBQ lunch, and while free parking is available nearby, it's been recommended that everyone utilize public transit if possible.

An open house gives a business or not for profit group an exciting way to introduce itself to its home community. A poster printing company can help spread the word about an event to the local area.

This newest addition to Burnaby’s network of first responder services is scheduled for April 26th. It will begin at 11:00 am, and all ages are welcome to be part of the fun.
