Caregivers play an important role in the life of the person they care for, and a Burnaby event will offer these individuals some appreciation.
During an event organized by Cynthia Chan, Burnaby caregivers will receive special baskets that will be filled with items they can use to look after themselves. They will be distributed at no cost, and will be made available for pick up in Edmonds Park.
The registrants will each receive a care basket filled with plants, lotions, sweets and other items, and snacks and coffee will be served. Caregivers will be invited to learn about the resources that are available to them in the local community, and as there will be 25 care packages available, anyone who is interested is advised to put their name on the list of recipients as soon as possible. Funding for this project has been provided by Vancouver Foundation’s Burnaby Neighbourhood Grant Program.
An initiative like this gives caregivers a tip of the hat, and a banner printing company will be able to help make it even better. It can provide Banners, Signs and other materials, including a special note of thanks to include in each basket distributed.
This opportunity to show local caregivers some appreciation will be held on August 8th. The baskets will start to be handed out at 1:00pm.
