Burnaby residents who wish to get a jump start on their holiday shopping may wish to save the date for the upcoming Deer Lake Craft Festival.
The exhibition, show and sale, which is a juried event, will offer a huge assortment of works, all produced by local artisans. Everything from hand blown glass to pottery, textiles, wood and other handmade items will be on display, and the public can browse through them and purchase any that catch their eye.
Along with all the handcrafts ad works of art, there will lots of food. Shoppers can stock up on designer honeys, shortbread, chutneys, preserves and other condiments, all while they enjoy the live entertainment. VR4U will also be on site, and will be offering those who stop by an opportunity to experiment with virtual reality.
The kids in the crowd can stop at Santa’s Workshop, which will be manned by volunteers from Burnaby high schools, and there will also be raffles, door prize drawings and lots more to see and do throughout the event. A local printing company will be able to provide the different artists and other exhibitors with an assortment of Packaging supplies for an event like this.
This huge show and sale will start on November 26, and will continue on throughout the next day. It will be located on the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, and more information can be found on its event listing.
