A Burnaby venue that has come to be a centre for community-based fun is celebrating 10 years of serving the public, and it has a fun-filled day on the way for late August.
Edmonds Community Centre has scheduled its 10th anniversary party for later this month, and it will have offerings for every age. The guests at the festivities will be able to browse through the interactive booths, and both outdoor Zumba and a family swim are on the agenda. Admission is free, but a fee of $3.30 per person will be charged for the use of the pool. There will be face painting and other fun for the kids as well, and everyone can enjoy the arts and crafts. Cake will be sliced and served, and additional food may be purchased at the canteen area. The festivities will wrap up with a movie in the park, which will begin at 8:30 pm.
