Whether they are just getting started or have been tending hives for a long time, an upcoming Burnaby event will be one that will help beekeepers to care for their charges.
The Beginners Beekeeping weekend, which is an initiative of BC Bee Supply, will be held just in time for getting hives ready for winter. The learning will be facilitated by two Bee Masters, and it may be useful whether someone has just one colony or lots of them to look after.
During the two day event, the participants will engage in a deep dive exploration of apiary practices, and a discount is on offer for any purchases the registrants make in the shop on the day of the class. It will be focused on honeybees, their life cycle and ecology, and the fee to register has been set at $350 plus any applicable fees.
Many of those who take part in this sort of activity appreciate receiving learning materials they can add to their own resource library. A printing services company will have an assortment of options on offer for these sorts of bound items using techniques that include comb binding and other thrifty choices.
BC Bee Supply will be running this short course from October 1st to October 3rd. It will be held at 4759 Hastings Street, and both days will run from 10:30 am until 3:30 pm.
