August will see Burnaby golfers take to Westwood Plateau Golf Club to tee off in an event that will raise both funds and awareness for the Pacific Autism Family Network.
The organizers of the Saccomaniacs Agriculture for Autism Golf tournament are putting together a day of fun that will include both time out on the course and a trade show. Over the years, this annual outing has raised over $700,000 for its charity of choice, and it has consistently been a sell-out.
The day will see 30 teams of six golfers play through, and the schedule and tourney play has been planned by Go Gold Events. In previous years, a live auction, dinner, awards presentation and other fun were all on the agenda, and the plan is to bring these back once again. A putting contest may be in the works as well, and everyone can treat themselves to some new gear at the trade show.
