Burnaby area to craft spring container plantings

A planter filled with blooming flowers can be a perfect piece of spring decor, and mid-March will see a workshop offered that will teach attendees how to prepare one of these mini gardens.

West Coast Gardens, which is located near Burnaby, will be running a class that will teach the basics of preparing a container garden. Everyone who Signs up for the project will be getting their hands dirty, and the fee to register is $69.99.

One of the staff members at the venue will teach the fundamentals of container planting, including how to choose plants that have similar cultural needs and tend to do well together. All of the materials, including the 12-inch container, will be provided, and the species and varieties the group will be working with will depend upon what is available in the local area.

A floral design or planting class can be a fun way to kick off the spring planting season, and the attendees can then use the skills they have learned in their own home or garden. Plant care tip sheets and other materials for an activity like this can be prepared by Stationery printers.

The Hands-On Early Spring Planter Workshop with Jason will be offered on March 18th at West Coast Gardens, which is located at 1420 172 Street in Surrey.
