One of Abbotsford’s biggest street festivals will take place again this summer as Berry Fest makes its return.
The festival is designed to celebrate Abbotsford’s reputation as the “Berry Capital of Capital.” Visitors can enjoy fresh berries from nearby growers picked that day. There will also be other vendors offering food, drink, gift items, and more. Vendors at this type of event often offer Promotional Products and special discounts for the occasion. There will also be traditional carnival fixtures such as rides, live music and face painting, aiming to attract and please visitors of all ages.
Local residents can sign up for a traditional pie-eating contest, as well as the Great Berry Fest Pie Bake Off which will test bakers’ ability to make the most out of local produce. The Berry Fest is hosted by the Historic Downtown Abbotsford association to help promote local business, and many area stores will be opening their doors and aiming to attract new customers. The Berry Fest has become a regular staple of Abbotsford, with some form of street festival taking place in early July going back for decades. The event will feature available parking and is primarily run through the efforts of local volunteers.
The 2024 edition of Abbotsford Berry Fest will take place throughout the day on July 6 in the downtown area.
