Spring is coming to Abbotsford, and an upcoming event will give residents and opportunity to “tiptoe through the tulips".
The Abbotsford Tulip Festival will see thousands of colorful tulips gracing the 10 acres of fields that have been planted. Families are invited to enjoy a picnic among the flowers or sample the offerings of from the food trucks that will be on hand. There will be a children’s play area, a covered area for picnicking and photo cut out boards for picture taking.
Bouquets of freshly cut tulips will be available for purchase and those who would like to customize their bouquets will be able to stroll through the fields and choose their favorite blooms. Bulbs can be ordered for those who want to grow them in their own home garden, and they will be sent out to them in the fall.
The cost for the event is $5.00 per person for those ages 2 and up, and photographers are asked to pay an entry fee of $15.00. A season pass is available that covers the cost of parking and admission for one year for one person. Parking on weekends is $5.00 each for private vehicles and $20.00 per bus. Signs can be used during an event such as this to help make sure it runs as smoothly as possible.
