The 2015 Abbotsford International Airshow will be held this summer, and it was recently announced that there will be a new addition to the event’s lineup.
The Breitling Jet Team, which hails from France, will be putting on an aerial display during the show. It will be the first Canadian performance for the seven-plane team, and the pilots will be flying their L-39 C Albatross aircraft through a series of difficult manoeuvres, some within a few meters of each other and at speeds of up 700 kilometres an hour. They are based in Dijon, and are scheduled to have two Canadian stops on their 2015 North American tour.
As well as being excited about the Breitling arrival, organizers have noted that the Canadian aerobatic team The Snowbirds will also be a big part of the event, and the organizers feel that having both teams demonstrating what they can do will help to make the show even more of a success than it was last year.
