Old-school car meet returns to Abbotsford

The Coastal Swap Meet will be back in town for its 53rd edition at the end of May, offering classic car lovers a chance to meet other enthusiasts and vendors.

The event is modelled after classic meet-ups where gearheads would exchange or sell parts and even whole cars. The Swap Meet is organized by four BC-area clubs, including the British Columbia Hot Rod Association and Pacific International Street Rod Association. Items for sale include wheels, tires, engine parts, doors, and other car parts, as well as car-related Books and models. The event looks to attract a diverse group of car-lovers, with promotional material promising:

“Swap meets are not just for old guys anymore!”

Children under 15 will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult. The Swap Meet will also be raising money for Canuck Place, a children’s hospice in Abbotsford, and has contributed over $10,000 to the organization through a partnership with The Honda Way. There will be golf carts available to take attendees with heavy items to and from the parking lot. Professional and hobbyist vendors at events such as these, selected through an online application process, often offer unique Promotional Products or special deals to commemorate the occasion.

The 2024 Coastal Swap Meet will take place on May 31 and June 1 at Tradex in Abbotsford.
