Blueberries are as tasty as they are nutritious, and the Abbotsford Rotary Club has teamed up with a local grower to support a variety of community service projects.
The Blueberry Blitz Sale & Fundraiser is now accepting orders. Each box will contain 10 pounds of Berryhill Farms blueberries, and the price per box starts at $25.
The public will be able to order their Boxes in advance, and they can purchase as many as they wish. All they have to do is bring their printed voucher to the drive through pick up point on the day of the sale. Frozen raspberries may be available as well, but these cannot be ordered ahead of time.
To help make this fundraiser even more fun, the organizers have asked the public to submit their favourite blueberry recipe, along with a photo. The planners will choose one to add to the campaign’s social media marketing, and the winner will also receive a free 10-pound box of frozen blueberries to enjoy. Print shops can prepare signage to help keep this sort of activity organized and running smoothly.
Orders for blueberries are now being accepted by the Rotary Club, and they can be picked up on February 6th or February 12th. The Blueberry Blitz Sale & Fundraiser will be held at 2887 Mount Lehman Road.
