Residents of Abbotsford have been asked to pitch in with an activity that will offer a salute to Fraser Valley’s healthcare heroes.
The first ever Health Care Heroes Also-Pitch Tournament is on the agenda for this June, and it will support local hospitals and other medical services. There are several ways for area businesses and the general public to get involved, and the cost to register a team starts at $100.
The tournament will be held in Abbotsford Exhibition Park, and those who would like to lend a hand can sign up to play, make a monetary donation, contribute a gift in kind to the silent auction or simply spread the word to anyone they feel may be interested. Volunteers are also needed, and all assistance will be appreciated.
Local companies that have been looking for a way to do a good turn for their community are welcome to apply to sponsor the occasion. The funds raised will remain in the local area, and there are various packages available. These each include having a business’s Logo Design added to the score sheets and other materials prepared for the event.
