An Abbotsford area eatery is getting ready to celebrate this spring with an afternoon of fun that will boast a Scottish theme.
Smugglers Trail Brewery and Restaurant recently announced that it is preparing for its Kilt Night Cask festival, and any guest who wears one of these items of traditional Scottish attire will be eligible to win a prize. Live music for the festivities will be provided by The Contingency, and admission starts at $30.
Each ticket holder will receive eight drink tokens, as well as a souvenir glass featuring a custom graphic design. Additional tokens will be available to purchase for $3 each. Anyone who would like a bite to eat can choose from either the typical or special menu, and these items will be on offer at their regular cost.
One of the draws for the celebration will be that casks of Smugglers Ales will be supplied, and these feature a special hand pump design. There will also be brews on tap for sampling from other craft breweries as well, and all the beer will be served fresh from the cask.
Smugglers Trail Brewery and Restaurant has planned its Kilt Night Caskfest event for April 24th. Its scheduled run time is from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and more information about the function has been made available online.
