Hospices provide comfort and care for those at the end of life, as well as their family, and an upcoming activity will help to fund the programming an Abbotsford hospice offers.
The Horsepower for Hospice Show and Shine will be a friendly competition for vehicle buffs, and it will be hosted at Mt. Lehman Winery. It will be a public activity and it will be family friendly, with admissions to the festivities by donation.
The function will see a selection of food trucks rolling in so everyone can enjoy their favourite fare or try something new. Live music and other entertainment is in the works, and awards will be presented to the winners in several judging categories. The registration fee is $35, and while car and bike clubs are welcome to join in the fun, it has been requested that they register ahead of time.
To thank those who choose to sign up in advance, the first 100 to do so will receive a swag bag of Promotional Products. All models and makes are welcome, and it will run for five hours. The companies that chose to sponsor the event will have tents set up on site. The event is set to be on offer at 5094 Mount Lehman Road in Abbotsford.
Mt. Lehman Winery will be helping Abbotsford Hospice to help others on August 19th. The festivities will get started at 10:00 am.
