Starting kindergarten is often the first step on the road to education for Abbotsford kids, and a local school will be giving them a chance to get their feet wet so they will be ready to head to school this fall.
École Sandy Hill Elementary School has issued an invitation to children who will be attending kindergarten this year at the institution to attend a special event this July. It will be held outdoors on the school grounds, and advanced registration is strongly recommended.
The kids that attend will be able to learn more about what class will be like, while meeting the other students and making new friends. There will be games and a story, as well as crafts and a light snack, and the families will also be able to explore the playground equipment and other features of the school yard. There are two sessions on the agenda, and Covid-19 prevention measures will be in place.
The organizers of the day have noted that each child will go home with some crafts and a new book. Guides for the families of these future scholars can be prepped ahead of an event like this by Print shops in the local area.
